CORE Project is pleased to announce that its next webinar will take place online on Thursday 22nd February, 13h00-15h00 CET. This session will look into the theme of "Fighting Misinformation in Risk Communication", delving in particular into the analysis of the currently available tools to fight the spread of incorrect information in disasters. The session will be moderated by Nadejda Komendantova, Senior research scholar in the Advancing Systems Analysis Program at IIASA.
On 28 Septmebr, CORE will be gathering policymakers, researchers, civil protection representatives, and sister projects from the Societal Resilience Cluster in a Stakeholder Forum in Brussels to discuss the topic of 'Enhancing collaboration and transfer from research to policymakers in the DRR context'.
Various speakers will be joining us to deliver some interesting presentations:
- Laura Indriliunaite from the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations of the European Commission (DH ECHO) will give the opening speech to the webinar
- Giovanni Gugg from ISSNOVA will be presenting on the "Cultural Dimension in Disaster Risk reduction''
- Maurizio Salvestrini from ENAV will be sharing with the audience experiences of safety culture from the Air Traffic Management perspective
